Your furry best friend is in the best hands! Our Mountain Mutts dream team is the best of the best, we wouldn't put your furry best friend in the hands of anyone who wasn't. Laurie and Scott Smylie are local Canmore professionals, dog walkers, and pet lovers who have been exploring the mountains and trails of the Bow Valley for over thirty years, since moving here in '88 (Scott) and '91 (Laurie).

We have a passion for our work. We have combined broad skill sets, and extensive experience in the Banff/Lake Louise tourism industry, professional guiding, professional driving, lifeguarding and professional child daycare managing, with outstanding customer service skills, our love of animals and their unrivalled zest for the outdoors. At Mountain Mutts, we see the need for responsible, and compassionate pet care in the Bow Valley, and we are committed to giving each of your four-legged family a fun, loving, safe, and rewarding experience (plus a few healthy snacks).

Our packs are composed of local Bow Valley dogs plus Schroeder and Levon, Mountain Mutts' Canine Hiking guides. Our two dogs have been sniffing the Mountain trails for years, they understand our hand signals when off-leash and help to keep our packs safe and having fun on all our walks.
